池田宏と申します。

Armadillo実践ガイド 8.6.2 「ルートファイルシステムの空き容量を増やす」に従い、以下を実行したのですが、起動に失敗してしまいます。
解決策をご教授頂きたく、よろしくお願い致します。

①ルートファイルシステムのブロック数とinode数を変更
  ブロック数=261244, inode数=2048 設定
②RAMディスク容量を変更
  Default RAM disk size=393216 に変更
③make image にてイメージを作成して、フラッシュ書込み後、リブート

リブート時の表示は以下の通りです。

問題はこれですね。
Armadillo-840のbootloaderとkernelはACM(AV Codec Middleware)の共有メモリを
DRAMの下位512MBの後端128MBをlinuxの管理外の領域として予約するのが
標準の仕様になっており、ここに展開後のuserland(=initrd)がこの領域に掛ったので
initrdの利用が中止されました。

ログから判断すると1GB版のArmadillo-840をご利用のようですが、ACMは
お使いになりますか?使わない場合はhermitのsetenvでに下記指定で回避できる
と思います。

setenv console=ttySC2,115200 mem=1G

この条件でACMを使いたい場合は、DRAM 512MB版との互換性を無くした
メモリマップを設計しないといけないので、別途ご相談ください。

対策をご教授頂きありがとうございました。
ACMは使用しないのでご教授頂いた内容を実施したのですが、起動途中で再起動となってしまいます。

今回のログと前回のログとでkernel のイメージファイルが変っているようですが、
前回のイメージファイルのまま、単にsetenvでconsole=ttySC2,115200 mem=1Gを
設定してみてください。

結果を見る限り、今回のkernelは”Default RAM disk size=393216 に変更” を実施して
ビルドしていないイメージファイルのように見えます。

イメージが同一でないことはビルド時間から判断しました。
